Equipment
Three styles of bow are recognised, namely:
- CLASS 1 - COMPOUND; as defined
in Rule 102 (c) in GNAS Rules of Shooting. These may be shot Limited
or Unlimited.
- CLASS 2 - RECURVE; composite bows
and simple (fibreglass) bows as defined in Rule 102 (a) in GNAS
Rules of Shooting. These may be shot Freestyle or Barebow.
- CLASS 3 - LONGBOW;
traditional longbows as defined in Part VI in GNAS Rules of Shooting.
NB - If a pair consists
of archers from different bow categories, then the pair shall be
classed as the higher class, e.g., longbow and recurve would be classed
as
recurve, recurve and compound would be classed as compound.
In the event that there are insufficient
Longbow pairs, i.e., less trhan 4 pairs, then those wishing to compete
will be placed within the Recurve leagues.
